"Toby has changed my life," Hollyn told Christian Post in an exclusive interview. "He not only has taken me under his wing in a musical sense, but he and his family/community have accepted me into their lives. It's a beautiful life and I am eternally grateful for his friendship and all he and my team have done for me."

Hollyn, Gotee Records' newest singer and former contestant of "American Idol" season 12, was first introduced to church music lovers on TobyMac's latest album where she was featured in and co-wrote the songs, "Lights Shine Bright" and "Backseat Driver."

When asked about the things she's learned from the Christian rapper and former DC Talk member, Hollyn had this to say: "One of the main things Toby always says is, 'Love people well.' This has stuck with me and at the end of the day, apart from the music, it's the relationships and impact we make on people's lives that count. He is full of wisdom, so I'm sure I'll continue to learn from him."

Hollyn's debut single "Alone" is also co-written by TobyMac. The song is now enjoying the number one spot in the Hot AC/CHR chart after only six weeks from its release and even made Christian radio chart history when 95 percent of the station panel added the single. The 19-year-old millennial is the only Christian genre artist featured on the United States Viral 50 and Global Viral 50.

As a Christian singer and songwriter, Hollyn admits that her relationship with Christ is not perfect but claims that she strives to make it her priority. She also believes that the people surrounding her are a huge factor in her spiritual walk. She shares that she's currently busy with writing records, summer festivals, traveling, and a lot more.
