"Jurassic World" was a big hit when it hit theaters in 2015, and right then fans and critics were already starting to speculate about a sequel. There have been numerous rumors about the next installment's plot and release date but as of the moment, nothing has been set in stone yet. However, the latest buzz about the next part of the series suggests that it is going to be a war between dinosaurs and reptiles.

According to the reports, Vincent D'Onofrio's character, Vis Hoskins, will apparently install weapons on reptiles to fight off the aggressive dinosaurs. Rumor has it that the production company intends to put chaos and numerous battles between the two groups of animals, which will bring more exciting scenes to "Jurassic World 2."

The production company has yet to confirm the plot of the next movie; however, casting has already started.

Colin Trevorrow, "Jurassic World's" writer and director, shared some insight on what fans can expect in the next two movies. According to the director, fans should take note of Ian Malcolm's quote from the first movie because it will serve as the backbone of the two upcoming sequels of the series.

"You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you wanna sell it," as told by the character Malcolm, which is played by Jeff Goldblum.

Trevorrow has already confirmed that the next movie is not going to be the same as the first one. Dinosaurs will no longer be seen in theme parks like the original "Jurassic World" series, which was quite similar to the first movie of the new franchise.

If everything goes as plan, fans and critics expect the "Jurassic World 2" to come out in 2018.
