Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is known to feature tie-ins with popular feature films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Perhaps one of the episodes that made the series so popular is the tie-in episode in Season 1 that featured the events of 2014's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" that tackled the rise of sinister HYDRA organization and the downfall of S.H.I.E.L.D. This year, another big Marvel movie is about to hit the theaters with "Captain America: Civil War" and fans of the Marvel TV series are curious how will the events in the upcoming "Captain America" sequel will reflect in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

The third movie in the "Captain America" franchise will involve the huge battle among the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers, along with new characters to be introduced in the MCU like Black Panther and Spider-man. As reported in Independent UK, the Avengers will be split into two opposing factions. The first group, led by Captain America/Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans), defies the registration act that aims to control superhuman activities in the world. The second group, led by Iron Man/Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.), supports government intervention on enhanced humans.

"Captain America: Civil War" will hit the theaters worldwide on May 6, and according to a recent report from the Moviepilot, the upcoming "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode titled "Emancipation" may hint the result of the Civil War. Unfortunately for Captain America's fans, it looks like his cause will fail. The said episode will see the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. organization subjected to pressure and questioning about their partnership with the Inhumans. The infamous registration act will be imposed on the Inhumans because they are seen by the public as huge threat to national security. However, with regards to the movie, it is unknown whether the Inhumans will play a vital role in the storyline.

"Emancipation" is also reported to detail the events leading to Captain America's defeat and the alienation that enhanced humans will experience due to the new government rule. The episode is said to picture the aftermath of the Civil War, although the exact outcome of the battle is unclear.

On the other hand, the most recent episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." shows Daisy (played by Chloe Bennet) trying to stop a vision of an interstellar explosion from happening, which may put the members of her team and the entire Earth population in danger, Entertainment Weekly reported.
