Fans already know that Orlando Bloom is coming back to reprise his role as Will Turner in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," but it is rumored that another familiar face from the first three films may appear in the film as well.

Gossip site tooFab has reported that Keira Knightley is coming back to play Elizabeth Swan, and the publication says she has already film scenes for the upcoming movie. However, the actress is only going to appear in a cameo role, and fans will not see her onscreen until the end credits. But a larger role for the sixth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film is apparently hinted.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" actually catapulted Knightley to superstardom, so a return to the franchise that gave her her big break is something the fans have been anticipating for some time now. Knightley and Bloom did not appear in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."

Mirror has also reported that an industry insider has revealed to them that filming took place last month. "The top-secret one-day shoot took place in November and the set was in lock-down. Keira was really excited to reprise the character that made her famous and get into her wigs and costume again," the insider said.

Of course, this hasn't been verified yet, so readers are advised to take it with a pinch of salt. Disney has yet to make an announcement as of the moment.

In "Dead Men Tell No Tales," Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is hunted down by an old rival named Capitán Salazar (Javier Bardem), a ghostly pirate who manages to escape from the Devil's Triangle and now plans to exterminate all the pirates around the world. Sparrow's only hope of survival is the Trident of Poseidon, an artifact that grants its owner total control over the seas.

"Dead Men Tell No Tales" is scheduled to premiere on May 26, 2017.
