Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick) has clearly shown her antagonism against the Blossom family, even giving them bad publicity on her newspaper. However, episode 9 of the first season of "Riverdale" might show her taking a more direct attempt to seek vengeance for what she believes are the Blossoms crimes against her family.
Spoilers Guide released the synopsis of episode 9 of the first season of Riverdale. Titled "La Grande Illusion," it seems that one of the storylines that will be pursued then is Mrs. Cooper avenging her family against the Blossoms. The synopsis also revealed that her daughters, Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Polly (Tiera Skovbye), will help their mother with her plan, which is a surprising turn of events given that both have not expressed any urge to do so. Their participation here may have something to do with Cheryl Blossom's (Madelaine Petsch) revelation that her parents have something bad planned for Polly, and the child she is carrying, who was fathered by their son, Jason (Trevor Stines).
Meanwhile, Archie Andrews (KC Apa) will accompany Cheryl to the official start of maple syrup tapping, following a mysterious offer from the Blossoms. The photos from the episode revealed him holding a guitar, so the proposal may have something to do with his music. However, the synopsis also said that Archie will become suspicious of the Blossoms' help, and he enlists Betty to provide him with information.
The episode will also see Veronica (Camila Mendes) seeking friendship with one of her classmates, only to discover that her father's shady business has hurt her peer. The episode's photos revealed Veronica with Ethel, so she may be the girl that she will try to befriend. The discovery hinted at the synopsis might be something big and awful, as the other teasers showed her crying in a bathroom while she is comforted by Betty. Speaking of Hiram Lodge's transactions, the episode will also reveal Hermione (Marisol Nichols) being conflicted about telling the truth to Fred Andrews (Luke Perry).
Episode 9 of "Riverdale" will air on April 6, Thursday, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
