Flying Wild Hog has officially confirmed the release date of "Shadow Warrior 2" on Xbox One and Playstation 4. The announcement revealed that the game, which will come with all the available downloadable content (DLC) that are available so far, will roll out in spring.

This was announced on the game's official Twitter page. However, the exact date was not revealed in the post. It also mentioned a condition for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release: all certifications will need to be completed before gamers can see the game ported.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release of "Shadow Warrior 2" was initially slated in 2016. However, this was delayed to early 2017, and then to April or May. In an interview by WCCFtech with Tadeusz Zielinski of Flying Wild Hog, he said that this port will not likely support HDR because of time constraints.

"Shadow Warrior 2" was originally released for PC on Oct. 13, 2016 to good reviews. Recently, a new DLC titled "Bounty Hunt 1" was released for free. This was inclusive of 14 new missions, four perks, and two weapons. This DLC is the second one Flying Wild Hog released for "Shadow Hunter 2." The first was "The Way of the Wang."

"Shadow Warrior 2" is set five years after the events of the first game. Despite the intentions of Lo Wang, a modern ninja turned mercenary, his efforts to keep the darkness at bay has led to the corruption of the world, where demons and humans coexist. Players will once again take control of him as he fights hordes of demons from another dimension to protect the world from invasion. The first game, which was a remake of a 1997 first-person shooter, was originally intended to be exclusive to PC, although it was later released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
