Daenerys Targaryen, played by actress Emilia Clarke, might be headed to King's Landing in the world of "Game of Thrones" ("GoT") but Clarke was recently announced to have also found her way to a galaxy far, far away and be with the young Han Solo.

There are very few details known about the movie yet; but it is already a known fact that the spinoff, standalone movie will be led by directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Lucasfilm, through a blog post on the "Star Wars" official website, announced last Friday: "Emilia Clarke is heading to a galaxy far, far away — and she's going to meet Han and Chewie. StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke ... will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke's role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures."

Meanwhile, there is no word yet on what lead role Clarke will take on the Han Solo standalone film, which will mainly feature Han Solo's early days and how he ended up in the Millennium Falcon.

As early as July, Lucasfilm introduced actor Alden Ehrenreich to play the role of young Han Solo during the "Star Wars" Celebration Europe. Miller told USA Today that Ehrenreich practically went through an "audition pentathlon" before bagging home the role and revealed that the actor was "the first person who auditioned out of thousands."

Before Clarke was confirmed to join the cast, Lucasfilm also announced that Donald Glover will play the role of young Lando Calrissian. Directors Lord and Miller commented that they are lucky to get Glover join the cast and added, "These are big shoes to fill, and an even bigger cape, and this one fits him perfectly, which will save us money on alterations."

Before the yet-to-be-titled Han Solo spinoff movie opens in theaters, Clarke will be seen conquering the Westeros in an another phenomenal hit franchise "Game of Thrones" that will open sometime in the summer of 2017.

On the other hand, the Han Solo standalone film is slated to open on May 25, 2018.
