Tech experts speculate that Samsung will follow its tradition of unveiling its new devices every year during the Mobile World Congress. If the company does stay true to its practice, fans can get a glimpse of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 by Feb. 2017, and may be given a first-look of the new artificial intelligence (AI) used on the device by April 2017.

The new AI is expected to be the Galaxy Note 8's edge over current smartphones in the market. It is also further speculated that the AI also brings a new virtual assistant feature for the Galaxy Note 8, similar to Apple's very own Siri.

Previous speculations also say that the new Galaxy Note 8 will be powered by either Snapdragon 830 or Exynos. Furthermore, it is also speculated that the new device will support 4K display, which works great especially that YouTube recently announced its support for 4K videos that are best displayed in 4K-capable devices.

Samsung had been recently under a lot of pressure and bad publicity due to the exploding battery mishaps of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Many users of the said device this year reported that the battery of their Note 7 suddenly exploded â€” one user reported it exploded after minutes of sun exposure, while another reports that the battery exploded while on an airplane flight.

The Korean tech company recently issued a recall for Note 7 devices, but the damage had been done already. Many airline companies even issued regulations to disallow Note 7 users from boarding a flight unless the device is surrendered.

Tech experts, however, project that Samsung is definitely making sure that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be a far better and improved handheld device than the Note 7. The company understandably does not need yet another round of bad press, and unveiling a good line of Note 8 devices might be the company's redeeming point.
