"Attack on Titan" season 2 might be the last season of the hit anime, if its source material is anything to go by. The recent chapter of the "Attack on Titan" manga has turned things around in the story.

Spoiler Alert! The following contains spoilers for the "Attack on Titan" manga and possible details in the season 2 of the anime.

In the latest chapter of the "Attack on Titan" manga by Hajime Isayama, Armin died a heroic death as he took on the Colossal Titan. Erwin sacrificed his life taking on the Beast Titan. This turn of events drastically reins in the Survey Corps.

The death of the two, who are deemed the brains of the Titan-fighting squad, will undoubtedly impair the Survey Corps. "Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to go down the same route.

The anime is known for being loyal to its source material and fans imagine that it will reflect the events in the manga despite the heartbreaking losses.

Enstarz believes that the deaths of two important characters in Isayama's manga as well as the big baddies being at the forefront hint that the show may be dashing towards its inevitable end. That means that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will have the same short fate.

Both the anime and the manga have been successful. Fans can't get enough of the Survey Corps, the Titans, the action and the gore. Fans are in for a bad news if "Attack on Titan" season 2 will really wrap up everything.

Despite the demise of Erwin and Armin, there are still characters to follow including Levi and Eren. While it won't be the same without their fallen friends, it's entirely possible that "Attack on Titan" season 2 as well as the manga is yet to meet its end.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is rumored to premiere next year.
