During a speaking event at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, Christian apologist and author Frank Turek was asked by a student why the Bible does not talk about dinosaurs.

Turek explained that "the Bible is not a book on taxonomy." He also noted that the Bible talks about land animals but not all land animals.

The author also pointed out that the Bible does not mention the pyramids or the Great Wall of China. "It's not part of the scope of the document," he said, as reported by The Christian Post.

Turek, who is a vocal proponent of Intelligent Design and critic of evolution, explained that the Bible tells the story of a bloodline.

"The bloodline of the Messiah, where Jesus actually comes to Earth, add humanity over to His deity to save the very creatures who rebelled against Him," he said.

He further explained that Jesus said in Luke chapter 24 that the Scriptures, including the Old Testament, are about him.

Turek, who penned the book titled "Correct, Not Politically Correct; How Same-Sex Marriage Hurts Everyone and Stealing from God: Why Atheists Need God to Make Their Case," was fired from Cisco and the Bank of America due to his opposition to same-sex marriage.

He wrote a letter to the Bank of America to clarify that he treats people with respect and agrees with the company's "inclusion" value to ensure that people treat each other cordially and professionally despite differences in their political, moral, and religious views.

Famed creationist Ken Ham has also addressed the issue of dinosaurs not being mentioned in the Bible. In an article published in the Answers in Genesis website, he explained the word dinosaur was only invented in the 1800s, so it would not appear in Bibles like the Authorized version, which was translated in 1611.

He explained that creationists believe that people referred to dinosaurs as dragons before the word was invented. He said that many history books have records of people's encounter with dragons. He claimed that many of the descriptions of dragons fit with how dinosaurs are described by modern scientists.

Ham asserted that evolutionists refuse to acknowledge it as valid evidence because of their belief that man and dinosaurs did not live at the same time.
