It has been reported that Disney already gave the go signal to start the production of "Frozen 2." Creating the sequel for 2013's massive hit animated film was already expected by many as "Frozen" still has a huge following in different parts of the world. Until now, its original soundtrack remains to be widely popular. Unfortunately, "Frozen" fans may need to wait indefinitely as Disney is said to have a hard time deciding which among its list of feature films will be released first.
According to Yibada, Disney is facing some issues at the moment because aside from the "Frozen" sequel, it is also gearing up for the release of their other huge motion picture projects which will be released around 2017 or 2018. The live action version of Walt Disney's classic animated movies such as "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Little Mermaid" will make their theatrical debut very soon. Earlier this year, the first teaser trailer for "Beauty and the Beast" starring "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson was revealed, signaling that the movie is on its way to being released.
As there are two huge Disney movies also arriving in theaters worldwide within a few years, there will be an issue for the successful film studio if they decide to push through with "Frozen 2." There are rumors that Disney may drop the sequel for an indefinite period to focus on other movies, although it was reported that the production of "Frozen 2" has already commenced.
Kristen Bell, the actress who gave life to Princess Anna in the movie, confirmed that the production stage of the sequel has already begun. Collider reported that Bell is as excited as the fans of the Academy Award-winning Disney film. Aside from the marvelous visual treat and fresh story, fans can also expect a bunch of new songs.
"The story is great and they exude quality, and what I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out. And that's why it took so long for them to even announce that we're doing a second one," Bell told the media outlet.
