'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 spoilers news: Ellen Pompeo dishes on her dream guest stars; Caterina Scorsone talks Amelia-Owen marriage

With "Grey's Anatomy" approaching its thirteenth season, it may seem like the long-running ABC medical drama has exhausted every possible medical crisis it can throw at its crew of doctors. Nonetheless, "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo has an interesting idea for a potential plotline.

In an interview for her recent Good Housekeeping feature, Pompeo dished on the celebrities she would like to see on "Grey's Anatomy." According to the actress, who revealed that she loves "Supergirl" actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum, "I tweeted one time to Shonda [Rhimes] that I thought that Jenna and Taylor Swift should dress up as cats and get stuck in a tree, and Channing [Tatum] should show up in a firefighter uniform and come save them."

The actress went on to admit that there have been plenty of "Grey's Anatomy" story lines that she "absolutely hated" and that she got mad at Rhimes about them. Nonetheless, she said that she has always trusted in Rhimes' vision for the series and that she takes it upon herself to make each of her scenes "everything [they] can be."

Meanwhile, Caterina Scorsone, who plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd, recently spoke about what's in store for her character and Owen (Kevin McKidd), Amelia's new husband, in the upcoming season.

In the season 12 finale, Amelia and Owen tied the knot after years of dating on and off. According to Scorsone, the suddenness of the couple's wedding will play a big role in their story going forward. The actress also said that if the two had waited longer before getting married, they probably would not have gone through with it.

"But now they have to figure out how to be married," she told Entertainment Weekly. "That's a big question for anybody, let alone two people who are deeply wounded."

"A lot of their story this year will be negotiating this whole different dynamic, sharing a life and being vulnerable when you're terrified of all of that stuff," she added.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 premieres Thursday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
