Hatchimals sold out: Where to get Hatchimals for Christmas 2016?

Hatchimals are set to be one of the bestselling toys for Christmas 2016. With major stores having run out of stock, where can one get a Hatchimal during the holiday season?

Hatchimals are interactive toys that are bought as eggs, which kids can take care of and play with until they hatch. After coming out of the shell, the Hatchimal can be raised, passing through three life phases — baby, toddler and child. It may be taught how to talk, walk and even sing.

Several major retailers in the United States, including Toys 'R' Us, Walmart and Target carry the product. However, Hachimals have been flying off the shelves and are now hardly available in the market.

During developer Spin Master's third quarter earnings call in early November, CEO Ronnen Harary shared, "Consumer demand has far exceeded ours and retailer expectations." He added, "For a time in October, Hatchimals was the single biggest-selling toy at Amazon and Walmart in any category."

The good news is that more stocks are expected to be made available in time for Christmas this year. Express UK reached out to Spin Master to ask on the inventory status of the toys and if it will indeed be impossible to purchase a Hatchimal during the period. An unnamed spokesperson reportedly said in response, "No – that's not the case. I can confirm there is still more stock to be delivered."

Such is welcome news for those who have been wanting to get their hands — or their kids' hands — on the toys. However, due to the immense popularity of Hatchimals, any upcoming stocks are expected to sell out right away. Hence, those who seek to give the toy as a Christmas present should keep their eyes peeled.

Watch out for more updates on the Hatchimal's availability in the coming weeks.
