The world of Naruto just got bigger as smartphone game "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing" is currently in the works.

As noted by reports, the widely popular anime series will have its game counterpart as a joint project by Bandai Namco Entertainment and game developer CyberConnect 2, which is popularly known for its "Storm" series. GREE, a Japanese internet media company is also on board with the production of the game. According to Saiyan Island, the upcoming "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing" mobile game will be available for iOS and Android operating systems. The game will reportedly hit the shelves sometime around late 2016 in Japan.

Earlier this month, Bandai Namco launched a website solely for the forthcoming free-to-play smartphone game. Details about it are still being kept under wraps as of this writing, but there might be a big possibility that the company will reveal more as the release date nears. Only the words "Coming Soon!" can be seen on the page, along with the link to the game's official Twitter profile.

The mobile game will arrive in Japan later this year, but since Naruto has gained popularity all over the world, fans are curious if it will be released in other territories as well. As of the moment, Bandai Namco or any of its contributing partners has given an official statement regarding the game's international release. On the other hand, reports state that an English trademark has been applied for the game last February. It would not be such a surprise if the game will be available in other countries apart from Japan since "Naruto" has fans scattered worldwide.

On another note, Game N Guide noted that the "Naruto Shippuden" franchise is close to its final episode. Hopefully, the upcoming smartphone game will be good for the "Naruto" legacy and dominate the gaming scene just as much as its anime counterpart did.
