'The Elder Scrolls 6' release date news 2016: New installment is heading for launch in 2017?

For the past few months, there have been numerous contradicting reports with regard to the development and release of the rumored "The Elder Scrolls 6." The sixth installment of the action role-playing open world video game franchise has yet to be announced by game developer, Bethesda Game Studios. New reports suggest that the new title will finally be launched at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3, which is slated to happen in June at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

However, there is another report suggesting that "The Elder Scrolls 6" could be released in 2017. Amidst the contradicting reports, fans have reasons to believe that the game will be rolled out by Bethesda anytime soon.

One of the reasons that sparked the rumored release of the game is the current job posting created by the game developer on ZeniMax Media. It is stated in the listing that Bethesda Game Studios is looking for a character artist who is knowledgeable on role-playing titles like "The Elder Scrolls." Although it is not mentioned in the job posting as to which project the potential candidate will be working for, many believe that it will be for the highly anticipated "The Elder Scrolls 6."

Meanwhile, game observers suggest that the new game might be released in 2019, which would be rather disappointing to so many fans of the series. Bethesda has been pretty consistent in releasing new installment of the franchise every four years. If the company follows this pattern, the upcoming "The Elder Scrolls 6" could be far from its release date since "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" was released in June 2015.

According to NeuroGadget, although it was confirmed by the Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hine, that the game is definitely happening, it will not be anytime soon. Apparently, the company's main focus for now is still with "Fallout 4."
