A lot of excitement is circulating about the iPad Pro, particularly its 10.5-inch model, a new size for this line. However, Apple has yet to release official information about the device, although some rumors are now circulating the Internet about its specifications and release date.

TechRadar reported that the device's screen size might not actually be 10.5 inches but 10.9 inches, according to the Japanese website Macotakara. It has also been reported that the new device might be doing away with the home button to provide a larger display. Furthermore, it will incorporate a fingerprint scanner on the screen itself.

Forbes, however, reported that the 10.5-inch model is a go. According to their phone interview with Rhoda Alexander, the Director for Tablets and PCs at IHS Markit, this device is expected to be the same size as the 9.7 model because of its smaller bezel. She also said that the display resolution will increase from 2048 x 1536 ppi to 2224 x 1668, which means that the new device will have a much more vivid display.

Digitimes reported that, according to Taiwanese manufacturers, the 10.5-inch iPads will be produced this month so that it will be launched in time for Apple's spring event this April. However, the report failed to mention if a 10.5-inch model from the iPad Pro line will be produced as well. It only reported about iPads of that same size, as well as an upgraded version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Similar to the specifications, no information has been revealed yet about when the 10.5-inch iPad Pro model will be available to the public. Some are keeping their hopes up that the device will be launched during the April event as a surprise product. There are also some who speculate that the device will be announced this June during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. Another theory is that the device's launching will be a quiet affair.

Given that all of these are rumors and speculations about the device, interested buyers will need to watch out for official Apple announcements about this product, which will hopefully be released soon.
