Although the Indian smartphone supermarket is not as huge as that of China, powerful people behind the industry are now on all fours at getting a bigger slice from the South Asian country. Now dubbed the fastest-growing smartphone market in the world, there is a reason why India is increasingly becoming the favorite location of these manufacturers.

One of the manufacturers that are now testing the waters in India is the Beijing-headquartered tech giant, Lenovo. Just this Tuesday, the firm has launched Lenovo K6 Power in the country — a mid-range killer of a smartphone. The 4,000mAh-toting entry, boasts a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset with Adreno 505 graphics processing unit (GPU).

In addition, Lenovo K6 Power is encased in a 5-inch full high-definition (FHD) with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels and in-plane switching (IPS) display. Optically, the smartphone bears a 13-megapixel (MP) rear camera with a Sony IMX258 sensor along with phase detection auto focus (PDAF) and light-emitting diode (LED) flash. Also, it is coupled with an 8MP front-facing snapper with a Sony IMX219 sensor and wide-angle lens. A fingerprint sensor can also be found on the unit's rear panel.

On the other hand, Lenovo K6 Power packs a dual-SIM (nano) functionality and will be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and the firm's proprietary Vibe Pure user interface (UI) skin. The audiophiles won't be disappointed as well because the iteration comes with Dolby Atmos audio enhancements that can work for both speakers and earphones. Meanwhile, the smartphone is also equipped with TheaterMax media-consumption service.

Lenovo K6 Power also comes with an expandable, built-in storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, voLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, GPS/A-GPS and micro-USB. It has a digital compass, proximity sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer. A reverse charge option is also included, which means that the device could be used as a powerbank.

Lenovo K6 Power's open sale will begin on Dec. 6, 2016.
