"Outlander" has been on hiatus since the first part of Season 1, which last aired on Sept. 27, 2014. The ninth episode of the season is scheduled to air on April 4, 2015.

Upon the show's return, the episode will be told in Jamie's perspective instead of the usual, which is that of Claire's. However, according to Executive Producer Ron Moore, this will done for only one episode.

"We're restarting the audience, so we wanted to have a lead-in for the viewers that would shift the point of view," Moore said. "This was a moment to pivot and include him in the perspective of the audience."

In an interview, actor Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan recently talked about their characters in the show.

When asked about the upcoming episodes, Heughan told Yahoo! TV, "They (upcoming episodes) are action-packed, dark, and very intense as Claire [Caitriona Balfe] and Jamie [Heughan] move into the next level of their relationship. She and her modern ways tear his guts out, as he puts it. The honeymoon is very short."

"The first trailer of the second half has already been released. It gives a sneak peek into the intriguing romance of Fraser and Randall and the dangers that lie ahead of them," she said. "Fans can also expect a lot of steamy scenes between Fraser and Randall. One of the upcoming scenes which people are most interested in is the one where Fraser spanks Randall for not obeying his orders. It was reportedly one of the toughest scenes to shoot and was handled with care."

Meanwhile, Balfe said, "We wanted to approach it very respectfully. We talked a lot about it, we met a few times, we choreographed it quite well. When it came to the day, we tried to give it the respect it deserved,"
