Qualcomm and Samsung have just recently announced a partnership to work on a next-gen update on chipsets, and tech heads are already wondering about the release of the Snapdragon 835. According to leaked information, it may be possible that the companies are planning a release sometime next year.

According to Neowin, the 835 could be announced at the Mobile World Congress next year. Along with the leaked specs from Chinese website Anzhuo, there is a description that has "S8 (MWC 2017") written on it, so it is possible that the newest Snapdragon could be announced then.

The next-gen chipset is said to come with a lot of elements like the 10-nanometer FinFet processor as well as an octa-core Kryo 200 CPU. The device is also said to come with an X16 modem. With specs like that, experts guess that the new Snapdragon should be able to offer users download speeds up to 1 Gbps and upload speeds up to 150 Mbps.

The 835 will also reportedly come with an Adreno 540 GPU as well as a four-channel LPDDR4X for its RAM. It's also said that the device will be capable of having processing power that is up to 1,866 MHz.

Aside from that, it's also said that the chipset will come with UFS 2.1 flash memory technolog that will give the Snapdragon 835 a faster read/write process.

Qualcomm is also said to be openly inviting hackers to help them find out any vulnerabilities in the product. The company will be teaming up with HackerOne, a company in San Francisco, which focuses on vulnerability disclosure. Participants are said to be offered up to $15,000.

As of now, there is no official release date for the Snapdragon 835, but fans can expect an update to come out in the Mobile World Congress which is set to happen from Feb. 27 to March 2, 2017.
