Following the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco earlier this year, the tech enthusiasts still have high expectations on the South Korean tech giant's future device offerings. One of the much-awaited gadgets from Samsung in 2017 is the next iteration of the current Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones. If the rumors are anything to go by, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will boast an expanded storage memory, as well as other interesting additional specs by the time of its arrival early next year.

If the rumors are anything to go by, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will boast an expanded storage memory, as well as other interesting additional specs by the time of its arrival early next year.

According to Game N Guide, the Samsung Galaxy S8 might be first unveiled at the 2017 Mobile World Congress. The event is expected to take place sometime in February or March next year. Samsung is also expected to reveal the price details of the Galaxy S8, which is rumored to be around $850. To note, the price is quite expensive compared to the regular handsets in the market today, although it is still cheaper than Apple's iPhone 7.

One of the rumored upgrades in the Samsung Galaxy S8 is the expanded internal storage. GSM Arena reported a recent specs leak on Weibo, suggesting that Samsung may offer a new 256 GB storage option for the Galaxy S8. Moreover, it is possible that the 256 GB storage capacity might be the new standard option for the Galaxy handset. Along with the improved internal storage, the device will also come with at least 6 GB of RAM.

The specs leak also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have two design variants. The first one will sport a 5.-inch QHD screen display and the other one will boast the improved 5.5-inch screen display with full 4K resolution.

As for the other core specs of the Galaxy S8, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 3.2 GHz processor. This will provide greater boost in performance and power efficiency over the previous Galaxy S-series handsets.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to receive 18 MP front camera and 24 MP rear or main camera with improved focal point. Lastly, the handset will have an improved 3,000mAh battery source.
