As the buildup mounts for the upcoming "Star Wars: Battlefront," more details about the game are expected to come out during the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, 2015 in Los Angeles next month when the first gameplay footage of the game is likely to be released for public viewing. The game will reportedly run at 60fps although its resolution has not been confirmed yet.

The gameplay footage is due to land on June 15 when the game's publisher Electronic Arts makes its presentation at this year's E3. News about the gameplay footage first appeared on the website for the game. Niklas Fegraeus, the design director, hinted at a new mode called the Squadron Fighter. In this mode, players will get to experience battles over huge canyons on an alien planet. Fegraeus revealed that the game will not feature any space battle.

Only a few select members of the media were able to see the gameplay footage when it was first screened during the Star Wars celebration event last month. That footage was shown during a closed-door event limited to a few people.

With the public now due to get a good look at the gameplay footage, Electronic Arts has been busy managing the expectations around the game. In a recent post on Reddit, a community manager from the publishing company confirmed the presence of Ewoks in the game. They will be seen on the planet Endor.

As for the maps, the upcoming "Star Wars: Battlefront" will have 12 of them. Several planets will play host to a number of missions in the game.

Those who will pre-order the game will receive the free "Battle of Jakku" expansion pack on Dec. 1, six days before it is officially released.
