'Steven Universe' season 4 release date, news and updates: Sneak peek for upcoming episode leaked online
"Steven Universe" is back, and the next episode, "Three Gems and a Baby" is set to air during Cartoon Network's Winter Holiday lineup on Thursday, Dec. 1. A sneak peek has been released online, and it has Greg sleeping over in the temple. A blizzard has come to Beach City which is why he couldn't sleep in the van.
The clip runs for about a minute, and it looks like fans will be teased at another origin episode which will feature the gems and Greg when Steven was still a baby. In the clip, Greg is about to tell a story about baby Steven, but as usual, Steven wants his dad to narrate the story through song.
Some fans guess that the song that will be featured in the episode will be titled "I Could Never Be Ready." Though no official recording has been released online, there is a video of Rebecca Sugar and Tom Scharpling (Greg Universe) performing the song at the "Steven Universe" panel at the New York Comic-Con back in October.
A promo clip has also been released by Cartoon Network to promote the Winter Holiday special episodes. Aside from teasers for "Regular Show" and "We Bare Bears," the promo also gives a short hint as to what fans can expect from Greg's story.
It looks like baby Steven will be staying indoors because of the blizzard, and the gems look like they're going to visit and bring gifts, most likely for Christmas. Fans should keep in mind that in the episode, Steven is still a baby, meaning that the gems will still be adjusting to the departure of their leader, Rose Quartz. Aside from the gems, it should also be tough on Greg, who has to make do with being a single father to Steven.
"Three Gems and a Baby" will be the 10th episode in "Steven Universe" season four, and it airs on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 8:30 p.m. EST on Cartoon Network.
