'The 100' season 4 spoilers: there is no escaping the apocalypse in new poster; 6 Funko Pops designs revealed

A promotional still from "The 100" season 4, episode 1, "Echoes" | The CW

The official poster for "The 100" season 4 has been released. It is pretty clear-cut as to what fans can expect in what is being deemed as the darkest season of the series yet.

The image sees Clarke (Eliza Taylor), Bellamy (Bob Morley) and company get a bird's eye view of the nuclear destruction that is about to unfold.

"The 100" season 4 will see the group face the nuclear meltdown that A.L.I.E. (Erica Cerra) has activated before Clarke shut her down in the previous season.

Clarke and Bellamy will team up to lead the others and help them survive the nuclear apocalypse. Not everyone shares their outlook, though.

Others like Jasper (Devon Bostick) would rather make their last six months worthwhile instead of fighting to no avail. It is rare for Jasper to smile. Making it more special is that he does in the face of the world's end.

Many will blame Clarke for putting them in the deadly situation they are in. One of these people is Echo (Tasya Teles), who will attempt to convince Roan (Zach McGowan) to kill the Wanheda.

"The 100" season 4 will not go easy on the deaths. The trailer alone shows that a lot of people will already be dead early in the phase of the nuclear meltdown. Clarke and Bellamy intend to keep as many people as they can out of harm's way.

Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) does not share the same perspective. In "The 100" season 4, she will still be very much hell-bent on destroying every single one of the people responsible for the death of Lincoln (Ricky Whittle).

In other news, concept art for "The 100" Funko Pop has been unveiled. Clarke, Raven (Lindsey Morgan), Bellamy, Octavia will have their versions as well as the fallen characters, Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Lincoln.

The Funko Pops will be released this year, but no specific release date has been announced yet.
