While Bethesda Softworks is yet to provide solid information about "The Elder Scrolls 6," there are speculations that the game is now being developed and that it will be worth the wait, however long it takes.

According to previous reports, although Bethesda has not confirmed anything, they did announce that they will complete work on other major projects first and make sure these are out of the way before they release the sixth installment of the game series. The titles of the said major projects were not disclosed, but many are assuming they are on the same scale as "The Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout."

Such major titles took a while before they were released, so the same could be expected of the sixth installment. Moreover, even if Bethesda has been stingy in releasing details about the game, the company's vice president for public relations and marketing, Pete Hines, has previously said that they are committed to releasing "The Elder Scrolls 6."

"It's something we love. But it is, I have to be careful what I say, it's a very long way off," Express quotes Hines as saying back in June.

The report goes on to say that the developers already have ideas and concepts for "The Elder Scrolls 6." Nevertheless, they will have to develop "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" sequel first in order to realize those concepts. Apparently, the development of the aforementioned sequel is still too much for the technological resources they have on hand.

"We have a pretty good idea of what it would be, and it's just going to take technology and time that, really, we don't have necessarily right now," Hines said.

Some are assuming that Hines' words mean "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be developed in such a way that players using next-generation consoles such as the Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio could enjoy the game. There's even a possibility that Bethesda will fully utilize virtual reality (VR) technology for the purported installment.

As for "The Elder Scrolls 6's" release date, Digital Spy surmises that with their hands full with other projects, the game's development may be in full swing by 2018. Hence, a 2019 release for "The Elder Scrolls 6" may be expected.
