The free games available to those with Xbox Live Gold-level memberships are refreshed mid-month. According to GameSpot, among the new games for this month are "Goat Simulator" for Xbox One, which replaced "Costume Quest 2" and will be available for free until June 30. Another Xbox One title, "The Crew," went live on June 16 and will be available for free until July 15.

Meanwhile, Xbox Live Gold members using the Xbox 360 can now get "XCOM: Enemy Unknown," which is available until the end of the month. This title can be also be downloaded via Xbox One Backward Compatibility.

The Games with Gold program allows those with Gold-level Xbox Live memberships to receive four free Xbox games every month. For July 2016, Xbox fans and Xbox Live Gold members are speculating that the new free titles could include "Dead Rising 3," "Halo Wars," "Watch Dogs," "Final Fantasy 13," "Ryse: Son of Rome," "Forza Horizon 2," "Forza Motorsport 5," and "L.A. Noire."

According to The BitBag, "Halo Wars" is a likely candidate for the Xbox Games with Gold July 2016 games list as Microsoft has already given away the game for free in Japan and in Germany. In addition, making the game available for free would create hype for its upcoming sequel, which is reportedly arriving in 2017.

Similarly, giving out "Final Fantasy 13" for free would prepare gamers for the upcoming "Final Fantasy 15," which is scheduled to hit store shelves in September.

In a separate article, The BitBag also noted that "Dead Rising 3" should build anticipation for "Dead Rising 4," which was announced at last week's E3 2016. "Forza Horizon 2" and "Watch Dogs" are also titles that will soon be getting sequels, making them possible entries into the July 2016 free games list.
