'Grand Theft Auto 6' release date update: To make an appearance at E3 2016? Launch expected in 2018

Rockstar Games appears to be busy once again with regards to their highly popular "Grand Theft Auto" game franchise. The latest game title of the series, "Grand Theft Auto V," is having more DLC releases coming this year, and there are a few updates arriving in the "GTA V Online" gaming mode in June. However, there is also strong speculation among the game enthusiasts that Rockstar Games is not only focusing on "GTA V" content add-ons this year. If the rumors are true, the game developer company is also gearing up for the next installment of "Grand Theft Auto," which is likely to make an appearance at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016.

"Grand Theft Auto VI" has not been confirmed by Rockstar in their recent statements, although the fans of the franchise speculate that the studio is already working on the upcoming installment this year. It has been reported that "GTA VI" is likely to be one of the new video games to be presented by Rockstar at E3 2016.

The huge gaming event in June where many game and tech enthusiasts all over the world will gather to get the latest scoop in the electronic gaming world is rumored to showcase the new "Grand Theft Auto" game.

However, as Rockstar may be announcing the game during the event, "Grand Theft Auto VI" is not expected to be released in the market until 2018. The same online publication noted that "Grand Theft Auto IV" was released back in 2008, and it took five years before "Grand Theft Auto V" was finally released worldwide. If the pattern of five-year gap in between game releases will be followed, "GTA VI" may be launched sometime in 2018.

Meanwhile, "GTA V" players can expect new stuff coming up in "GTA V Online" as the DLC packs called "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" will be released on June 7 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The arrival of the new contents will include a free mode event for the players.
