iOS 10.2 release date news 2016: resolves iPhone 6S battery, shutdown issues; comes out next week

Although Apple has been commended for consistently rolling out updates for its iOS, news emerged that a number of iPhone 6S users have been experiencing a sudden shutdown of their handsets. This may have prompted the company to immediately take action by releasing a new update for the recent iOS.

Apple may want to resolve the matter soon before it experiences the same downfall as Samsung with the problematic Galaxy Note 7. It could be recalled that Samsung faced controversy regarding the defective battery of the Note 7, urging them to conduct a replacement process.
