'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date news update: Star Wars and Disney worlds expected addition to game?
The highly anticipated "Kingdom Hearts 3" has been a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations among video game fanatics across the globe. New reports suggest that the third installment of the action role-playing video game will come out in April next year. The reports also say that the game may most likely feature Marvel and Star Wars worlds.
According to a report by GameNGuide, the rumors came after the cancellation of another video game called "Disney Infinity." The action-adventure sandbox video game featured multiple characters from Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel and Disney. The report said that "Kingdom Hearts 3" game developer, Square Enix, might ask to get some of those characters from Disney.
It was previously speculated by many fans and industry observers that Square Enix might include both Star Wars and Marvel into the game following a hint from the company that they will be adding two new worlds. For the longest time, the company has been playing with the idea; however, they still need to ask permission from Disney if they are about to make it happen.
During the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, many fans were disappointed when Square Enix decided to skip the upcoming title; however, the company confirmed the development of the game.
For now, the focus of the game developer is the development and release of "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue." The upcoming title is already scheduled to come out during the 2016 holiday season for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. Square Enix is expected to shift their focus on the third installment after the release of the remastered version of the current title.
Meanwhile, Christian Today reported that Square Enix has yet to confirm the April 2017 release of the game. However, many fans believe that it is only a matter of time before the company makes an official announcement.
