Xbox 2 release date rumors: Console will come out in 2019?

PlayStation 4K and Xbox Two have been the subjects of numerous rumors and speculations across the Internet. Reports suggest that both companies are gearing up for the release of their new gaming consoles. Although PlayStation 4K has been getting the attention lately, the latest statement from Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has put a lot of weight to the rumors that Microsoft is planning to release the much awaited Xbox Two in the near future.

"I'm not a big fan of Xbox One and a half," Spencer said during a U.S. press event that was attended by GameSpot. "If we're going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it's reliable, the servers are doing well. If we're going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be a really substantial change for people – an upgrade."

Spencer has also spoken to Tech Radar saying that fans can definitely see a new console from the company anytime soon.

"Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I'm 100 percent committed to that," he said.

Although no specific details were provided by Spencer with regard to the development, name of the console and release date, he left fans with a promising note stating that they will continue to work hard so that they can provide more to their customers.

N4BB also suggested that Xbox Two may come out earlier than its competitor, the PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4K. As per the news outlet, Xbox Two will be rolled out by Microsoft in 2019, while Sony will release PlayStation 5 in 2020.

Nevertheless, nothing has been set in stone yet as of the moment. What fans can do is wait for further announcement from Spencer and the whole Xbox team.
