Former NFL football player Tim Tebow will be talking about his faith at an upcoming event in Tyler, Texas.

As reported by Longview News Journal, the Heisman trophy winner and former NFL football player will be the guest of honor at Grace Community School's event titled "Celebrating Faith and Discovering Your Identity," which will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 2 at the CrossWalk Conference Center of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. Aside from speaking during the event, Tebow will also be meeting with the school's students.

"Grace Community School has a strong desire to be a place of hope for our community," Jay Ferguson, the school's headmaster, said. "It goes without saying that life isn't easy, and whether you're 17 or 71, having a strong sense of identity, who you are, is often the only thing that carries you through life's victories and turmoil," he added.

Regarding Tebow's appearance as an honored guest to their school's event, Ferguson added, "In his young life, Tim Tebow has seen more of both than many, and he brings a message of hope and healing that will winsomely and attractively inspire our community."

The event will reportedly help support the Grace Fund, which provides financial aid to the school's new and current students in the first up to the 12th grade. It is one of the many events organized by the school to raise funds for scholarships. In the past, their fundraising events have featured high-profile guests such as the former President George W. Bush.

According to his official website, Tebow was once the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos before being traded off to New York Jets in the off-season of 2012 and then transferring to the New England Patriots. He is currently serving as a college football analyst for the SEC Network and is also an accomplished author of religious books.
