2017 Maserati Levante release date, price & specs news: Priced at $72,000; features 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine

It's no secret that Italy-based luxury vehicle company Maserati will be releasing its first SUV later this year. The 2017 Maserati Levante was first unveiled last March during the 2016 Geneva Auto Show.
According to reports, the upcoming vehicle model is a perfect option for those who are looking for contemporary elegance and style. And with its expected top performance mixed with an Italian flare, the car is priced at approximately $72,000.
However, it is said that the pricing strategy turned out to be an issue among potential buyers. As noted in a report, the Maserati vehicle will be going up against the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace and the 2016 Porsche Cayenne which is priced at $60,000.
Nonetheless, the 2017 Maserati Levante will be coming with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine that has either 345 hp or 424 hp in the U.S. As for its performance, it is detailed that the vehicle is capable of a 0-100km/h time of six seconds, before reaching a top speed of 251km/h. Moreover, it has a 321kW version that can complete the 0-100km/h dash in just 5.2 seconds. It's v-max is rated at 264km/h.
When it comes to the interior, Maserati detailed that the 2017 model comes with elegant surfaces and spacious leather seats. It's also equipped with built-in onboard control and made with remarkable engineering that gives the car a classy ambiance as an SUV.
And it wouldn't be a luxury car without a superfluity element into it. Ermenegildo Zegna, one of world's leading designers, worked with the brand and incorporated the finest leather into it. The seats, door panels, roof lining sunshades and ceiling light fixture have a touch of natural fiber Zegna Mulberry Silk on it.
Maserati also made sure to add effective safety features such as the six dual-stage airbags and the tire pressure monitoring system. There are also features that help prevent collisions such as the Lane Departure, Forward Collision, and Blind Spot Alert warning systems.
The 2017 Maserati Levante has no specific release date yet, but it's expected to go on sale later this year or in early 2017.
