American Horror Story" veteran Jessica Lange will not make an appearance in season 6 or any future seasons of the hit FX horror anthology for that matter.

In an interview with Charlie Rose, Lange emphasized that her four-year run in "American Horror Story" was more than enough. "I had four years with that, four seasons, and each year was a marvelous character," the actress said.

"Everything changed from one year to another which made it very interesting to me. But no, I think sometimes you come to the end of something and it has had its natural [course]," Lange added.

Lange appeared in the first four seasons of "American Horror Story" and each of these chapters saw her in the spotlight. While she enjoyed playing various roles, it appears that Lange wants to move on now.

"American Horror Story" season 6 is currently in development. Fans were hoping that after Lange skipped the fifth season "Hotel" for a Broadway play, she will be back in the Ryan Murphy-created series.

Even Murphy himself was making efforts to get the star back. Last year, he said that Lange returning was "always possible" and that she will eventually and inevitably come back. However, "American Horror Story" season 6 and in the show's lifespan won't see that happening anymore.

Although Lange will not be in "American Horror Story" season 6, Lady Gaga, who headlined the fifth season, will be back. Majority of the "Hotel" cast are expected to join her save for Finn Wittrock.

The actor's return in "American Horror Story" season 6 is still up in the air as he is busy with a movie commitment. If he will end up appearing in the new season, it will only be for a few episodes.

At the moment, even a reduced appearance by Wittrock in "American Horror Story" season 6 is still undecided, but the actor is willing to be able to do so.

"American Horror Story" season 6 premieres this Fall.
