'American Horror Story' season 6 news update: 'Coven' star returning

Leslie Jordan is set to star in "American Horror Story" season 6. He last appeared on the FX horror anthology in season 4 "American Horror Story: Coven," but he is back for more frights and shocks.

The actor was supposed to appear in "America Horror Story: Freak Show" as well, but Jordan told Washington Blade in an interview that he turned it down for "Celebrity Big Brother."

"They offered me another season but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money," the actor said. "So I turned down Freak Show, biggest mistake of my life," he confessed

Now, Jordan is ready to return to the scary world of "American Horror Story" for season 6. "I'm booked all summer, then on July 7, I go back to American Horror Story with Lady Gaga," he shared.

Jordan is excited to join "American Horror Story" season 6, but he did not imagine that he would get the opportunity to be on the show again after refusing creator Ryan Murphy's offer for him to return.

"I didn't think Mr. Murphy would want me again because I turned him down, but he did," the 61-year-old "Will and Grace" alum continued.

Although Jordan is officially returning for "American Horror Story" season 6, one cast member whose fans have no hope of returning to the show is Jessica Lange, who said that her four years on the show where she played "marvelous" characters was enough.

"Everything changed from one year to another which made it very interesting for me. But no. I think sometimes you come to the end of something and it has had its natural," the actress told Charlie Rose.

Lange portrayed the key character of "American Horror Story" from the first season down to the fourth. On the fifth season, Lady Gaga stepped in and became her spiritual successor.

The singer is expected to play the lead character again in "American Horror Story" season 6, although plot details are yet to arrive.

"American Horror Story" season 6 will premiere this fall on FX.
