Good news for iPhone users who have been waiting for the iOS 10 update. Even though the mobile operating system has not rolled out to the public yet, it has been successfully jailbroken already, which means users will get the freedom soon to install their own apps.

According to reports, the jailbreak was made possible by hacker iH8sn0w, who is actually the same person who developed Sn0wbreeze and iFaith. He was able to successfully find a tool to jailbreak the early build of iOS that were out for developer accounts.

The hacker initially tweeted that he had a jailbreak for iOS 10 after testing and finding out that the Cydia does not crash on the new OS. He also noted in the same post that it did not need any fixes although he wasn't sure if it will last long to be hassle-free. Eventually, the hacker released a video showing that his jailbreak works.

As seen in the video, it showed the proof of the jailbreak in an iPhone 5 using iOS 10 and Cydia. However, there is no word yet on whether the jailbreak will be made available to the public or it will be just kept by the hacker for his own research and usage purposes. It may just simply be a proof that jailbreaking iOS 10 possible. It doesn't mean, though, that it will be accessible to every iPhone user.

Hacker iH8sn0w may just be teasing just like Luca Todesco who claimed that he has the jailbreak tool but announced that he will not release it to the public. A lot can still happen though as the Cupertino-based company has not officially released the latest update yet.

Reports say that they are still in the beta version stage and there's a possibility that Apple will release updates to the iOS 10 that can patch a number of exploits before it will be officially released. Those who are interested will have to stay tuned for updates.
