Apple iPhone 8 release date and rumors: Expected in 2017; to include edge-to-edge curved display?
Apple is not slowing down with its flagship devices as the iPhone 8 is already in talks. The iPhone 7 has not even been released yet but rumors about the existence of the iPhone 8 have already spread like wildfire.
There is no confirmation from the Cupertino-based company yet but some of the fans are hoping that it will be coming out soon. Some may even decide to skip the upcoming 2016 device in the line just to wait for the eighth installment as rumors suggest that it will be released sometime in 2017.
As noted in Market Watch, the iPhone 8 is expected to come on the iPhone's 10-year anniversary next year. It's predicted to be the device that will commemorate the event instead of the rumored iPhone 7s. Additionally, the iPhone 8 is believed to become the biggest seller of 2017, and it will have a lot to do with its upgrades and innovations in terms of specs and features.
It's not known yet what the device will boast once it hits store shelves but rumors have it that it will be the first to feature an edge-to-edge curved display. The concept is a "wrap-around" design made of curved plastic or glass that will go all the way around the handset, which means there will be no more borders on the display. Watching videos will also be more in-depth. It's also said that the physical Home Button will no longer be incorporated to pave way to a fresh look.
Other predicted upgrades include a full-glass OLED screen, new and improved haptic feedback features, and wireless charging. The rumored device may also be coming with better camera specs as well as a faster and advanced processor.
The iPhone 8 is no doubt something to look forward to technology-wise, but for those who are not so keen in waiting, they can watch out for the upcoming iPhone 7 as well as the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.
