Ash (Bruce Campbell) can expect a lot more in store for him when the ghouls come back in "Ash vs Evil Dead" season 2. A new trailer has been released by Starz, and fans should brace themselves for a lot of gory and campy visuals from the hit horror comedy series.

At the start of the trailer, Ash is pretty much just enjoying his downtime, partying with a bunch of kids and hanging out with girls, but after a series of hellish attacks, he's forced to go back to his home in Elk Grove to stop whatever is trying to destroy humanity.

Entertainment Weekly got to sit down with Campbell and ask him about the upcoming season. The actor said that most of the really awful things will be happening to Ash's protégé Pablo (Ray Santiago).

"Pablo's got a crazy journey this year. The stuff he goes through makes my life seem easy," Campbell shared. "I think we're going to find out that he's not just Ash's sidekick. I don't think Ray had any idea what was coming. Some of the horrors that await Pablo..."

After being forced out of his supposed vacation in Jacksonville, Ash has to drag Pablo and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) along with him to Elk Grove where things go "massively wrong." According to Campbell, "Things turn south, so the team has to turn north. [This season] it's 'Ash goes home.'"

The upcoming season will also see a bunch of new cast members like "Evil Dead" veteran Ted Raimi, who plays one of Ash's childhood friends. Ash's father will also be in the mix, and he will be played by TV legend Lee Majors ("The Six Million Dollar Man"). Campbell said that Ash's father is "even grumpier than Ash," so fans can expect a lot of father-son tension going on between the two.

"Ash vs Evil Dead" season 2 is slated to premiere this October on Starz.
