Asus Zenfone 3 release date: US launch might take a while

The entire Asus Zenfone 3 line will be released next week–July 12 to be specific– in Taiwan. A United States launch hasn't been announced, but the flagship is expected to be available in the said region in the future.
The Asus Zenfone 3's predecessor was released in the U.S. in July 2015, about four months after it was originally released in Taiwan. Deluxe editions did not come until September of that year.
Based on that pattern, the Asus Zenfone 3 might not be released anytime soon in the U.S. However, other Asian countries presumably India and Thailand among others are expected to get it in the coming months.
The Asus Zenfone 3 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (high-definition) display. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor doing the work with a fingerprint scanner in tow.
The smartphone also comes with 32 GB of storage paired with 3 GB of RAM. There's a higher end version with 64 GB of storage and a bigger RAM of 4 GB. Also included is a microSD card that should allow users to expand the space up to 256 GB.
The Asus Zenfone 3 features a 16-megapixel rear-facing shooter with dual-LED flash and HD video recording. The selfie camera boasts 8 megapixels.
A 3000 mAH battery will power the whole thing up. It is a mystery how long the Asus Zenfone 3 could go on with it, but it is expected to last a while. The Asus Zenfone 3 retails for the starting price of $249.
Asus Zenfone 3 comes with a couple more versions that are both superior in specs than the above-mentioned device.
Priced at $479, the Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra will be massive at 6.8-inches with a primary shooter at 23 MP. It is also offered in a 128 GB version.
A relatively smaller version than the Ultra but bigger in specs is the 5.7-inch Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, which has a 64 GB version as the entry-level version and is priced at $499.
There's a 128 GB edition as well as a 256 GB model for the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, both believed to come with 6 GB of RAM.
