'Attack on Titan' season 2 to finally start airing next spring

The second season of the anime series "Attack on Titan" finally has a release date, and it will air in early 2017. Even though details are a bit vague around the specific date on which it will premiere, fans can be assured that season two is definitely coming. In fact, promotional art for the show has been released online.
According to CrunchyRoll, the "Attack on Titan" season 2 was announced during the Tokyo International Forum, where the voice cast for the anime series had a live reading event. The second season was originally set for a 2016 release, but delays had it pushed back to 2017.
A promotional artwork and the title banner for the show's second season have been released on the official "Attack on Titan" Twitter page. The promo art features a good resemblance to the poster for the first season of the series. In the latest artwork, however, the Colossal Titan is posed for an attack, and Eren is facing him in his titan form. Below Eren is what looks to be the Armored Titan, and facing off with the titan are most probably Armin, Mikasa, and Levi.
GameSpot reports Wit Studio will return to animate the second season. The studio has recently just wrapped up "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress." Masashi Koizuka, formerly the chief director, has moved up to overall director; his former duties will be taken up by Tetsuro Araki.
Ever since the anime series ended in 2013, fans have been clamoring for more human vs. titan mayhem. Even though the manga is still ongoing, what really drew more fans to the series was the anime. With its compelling world, shocking violence, and unexpected deaths, "Attack on Titan" has grown to be one of the most popular franchises in anime today.
After three years and a slew of two disappointing live-action movies, "Attack on Titan" is once more getting some steam, and fans could not wait until next spring for more titan-fighting madness.
