'Avengers: Infinity War' release date, characters rumors: The Defenders to be introduced?

Billed to feature an insane number of Marvel characters, "Avengers: Infinity War" is now rumored to introduce a new set of comic book favorites to the highly-anticipated epic – The Defenders.
Netflix is set to develop a 2017 miniseries for superhero group, and if Marvel's big screen and small screen characters will be allowed to be in the same world, Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) from Netflix could be part of "Avengers Infinity War."
Writers Christopher Marcus and Stephen McFeely know that this is easier said than done, although they are "open" to the challenge. However, there a lot of things to consider in bringing together TV and film characters.
Speaking to IGN, Marcus said, "A lot of it is a pace thing in that we have to have this thing done so much ahead of time that they might get all the way through that Defenders show before we start shooting, certainly before anything comes out."
"So we don't know where they're going to be. It's very hard logistically to keep even the movie characters synced up. It's nearly impossible given the speed that TV cranks out the changes," he further explained.
Marcus and McFeely are already working on the "Avengers: Infinity War" script. Netflix won't release the Defenders miniseries until next year and there will surely be developments on Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage as their respective shows progress.
Writing them into "Avengers: Infinity War" will need the duo to take into consideration everything that will happen in the miniseries and this definitely presents a brutal challenge.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Captain Marvel, who is getting a solo movie in 2019, will be appearing in the superhero epic.
"Avengers: Infinity War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo let slip at the Smithsonian Institute that Carol Danvers' superalter ego will be included in the ensemble as well.
"Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" releases May 8, 2018, while the second part arrives on May 3, 2019.
