"Avengers: Infinity War," the third installment of the American superhero film series "Avengers," is still far from making its way to the big screen but it cannot be denied that fans are already excited to catch more of the superhero team. Fortunately, there are several spoilers and updates available to keep fans occupied while waiting for the two-part installment.

The latest one to hit the rumor mill is a movie crossover. According to a report by Nerdist, it has been confirmed that the film will have a bigger roster of heroes and villains as the "Guardians of the Galaxy" characters will be joining the "Avengers" sequels. This information was disclosed by screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely during a live interview on Facebook with senior editor Dan Casey.

Markus revealed that he is actually interested to see the two films crossing over while McFeely reminded fans that the Marvel Comics Universe is a big one, which explains why they may not limit the "Avengers" film.

"Let me put it this way: you know who owns that gauntlet, right? You know who's in another movie and his kids are in that movie. You do the math!" Markus said.

According to spoiler reports, several superheroes will get together to join forces and defeat villain Thanos, who is played by actor Josh Brolin in the original "Guardians of the Galaxy." And since Markus mentioned about children, Thanos' kids Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) may be making an appearance as well.

However, it is not revealed yet who among the guardians will be joining Captain America and the rest of the Avengers team in an epic battle. It's not hard to tell though that Chris Pratt's Star Lord is likely to jump in to join the film. Screen Crush said that directors Joe and Anthony Russo also hinted that other Guardians like Rocket Racoon might get included in the crossover.

"Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1" will premiere on May 4, 2018, while "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2" will hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
