'Bachelor in Paradise' season 3 cast news: ABC unveils official cast list for new season

ABC has finally released the cast list for the upcoming season of "Bachelor in Paradise" and it is filled with some of the most controversial and beloved candidates from the recent seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette."
While the press release for "Bachelor in Paradise" season 3 contained only nine names from the "Bachelor" franchise, more bachelors and bachelorettes from previous seasons will be added at a later date.
The list, which was first reported by People, has a lot of room left for JoJo Fletcher's rejects in the current season of "The Bachelorette." In fact, fans of the reality dating series are already looking forward to seeing the new "Bachelorette" baddie, Chad Johnson, in "Bachelor in Paradise."
Recently, franchise creator Mike Fleiss tweeted, "If she doesn't pick Chad for some reason, I think he'd be great on #BachelorInParadise!!!"
If Chad does find his way to "Bachelor in Paradise," he will be joining returning candidates Jared Haibon and Carly Waddell, both of whom were in the show's second season, and a group of Ben Higgins' exes from "The Bachelor" season 20.
Haley and Emily Ferguson, Leah Block, Amanda Stanton, Lace Morris, Izzy Goodkind, and Jubilee Sharpe will be competing against each other once again after losing Ben to Lauren Bushnell in the 20th season of "The Bachelor."
The initial cast list for "Bachelor in Paradise" season 3 also includes Sarah Herron from "The Bachelor" season 17 and "Bachelor in Paradise" season 1.
As in previous seasons, the series will be filmed in Mexico, where the reality stars will get to know each other and try to find love.
The first season, which took place in Tulum, resulted in two couples: Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd, who wed in 2015 and are still happily married, and Michelle Money and Cody Sattler, who began a relationship but later broke up.
The second season, which was filmed in Sayulita in Mexico, ended with three couples: Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert who are now married; Samantha Steffen and Nick Peterson, who have since broken up; and Cassandra Ferguson and Justin Reich, who are no longer together.
The third season of "Bachelor in Paradise" will premiere on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
