"Batman: A Telltale Game Series" will be released digitally next month, developer Telltale Games and Warner Bros. have announced. The specific release date will be revealed later this week.

The physical version will be out Sept. 13 in North America, but gamers in Europe will have to wait for Sept. 16 to be able to pick up a copy of the highly-anticipated episodic point-and-click adventure game.

The retail version of "Batman: A Telltale Game Series" comes with a season pass disc that includes the first of five episodes coming to the game.

The same season pass disc should also give players the access to the succeeding four episodes that will be released to the game in the following months.

The "Batman: A Telltale Game Series" season pass disc will be available for the PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. A pricing has not been announced yet, but Telltale should reveal this detail soon.

Fans can get a first look at the first episode of the game in the upcoming San Diego Comic Con. Gamers can try "Batman: A Telltale Game Series" at a special crowd play event during the convention on July 23.

Troy Baker, the voice of Bruce Wayne, will grace the event as well as host Greg Miller and some developers from Telltale Games.

The studio promises "an evening full of fun, excitement, and perhaps even some giveaways as the crowd will be encouraged to shout and direct the choices on-screen."

"Batman: A Telltale Game Series" is deemed the best game to come out of Telltale Games. According to Touch Arcade, the ability of players to be Batman and Bruce Wayne will definitely improve the game.

"Batman: A Telltale Game Series" will implement the same decision-based gameplay that other Telltale titles are known for such as "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones."
