Developer EA DICE is gearing up for the release of their first-person shooter video game "Battlefield 1." The game is set to come out next month and to bring the hype up, an official trailer for the single player has been released.

According to reports, the single player mode will be unique on its own as it will be featuring an anthology of short stories instead of just having a single character arc. DICE detailed over at their blog site that the mode will be having multiple War Stories, which they described as "personal stories focusing on different protagonists with unique backgrounds and skills."

It also mentioned about how their stories will be about people rather than history or battles. Apparently, DICE is turning away from the usual single story with a single protagonist as they focus on embracing the different perspectives and characters in World War 1.

One instance of a War Story is "Through Mud and Blood," which takes place late in the war and follows the story of the British Mark V Tank crew. It is about a young soldier named Danny Edwards who was tasked to the crew as the tank's driver.

However, the protagonist is inexperienced and will need to learn fast in order to earn the trust of the other crew members. Personal stories as such are going to be the driving force of the single player mode.

However, not all characters are going to be unfamiliar. There will also be stories of people who are known to the world. As seen in the trailer, famous historical figures like Lawrence of Arabia and Red Baron are going to be part of the game. The game will allow players to take the role of an Arab rebel who is the right hand of Lawrence.

The game is packed with plenty more personal stories so gamers will have to watch out for more updates. "Battlefield 1" is scheduled to be released on Oct. 21.
