Beta for Android 7.0 could be coming soon; new Samsung devices to run on Nougat

The next Android update has been named the Android Nougat, and Android users have been curious as to when they can get the updated OS. There has been news that a beta for the OS will come out soon, and some speculate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be having the Nougat OS when it comes out this October.
Koh Dong-jin, president of Mobile Communications at Samsung, says that beta testing for the Android 7.0 Nougat will begin soon. During a press conference, Tech Times quoted the Samsung president as saying: "It is very important for us to offer up-to-date information with the new OS, but what's more crucial is to build a stable and seamless platform for users... That's why we are planning to do enough beta testing before any OS updates."
As of now, people speculate that the Nougat will have a number of new features that allow users to install apps faster. The OS is also said to be more battery-friendly, and make optimum use of a device's charge. The Nougat is also rumored to download security patches silently in the background, and those patches will be activated the moment the phone is rebooted.
This year, Google is expected to launch its new Nexus phones, code-named Marlin and Sailfish, These new phones are the prime contenders for the first devices released to be running on the Android Nougat. Market experts are expecting them to hit shelves this coming October, and if they do, it would be the earliest possible time for a user to experience using Android's updated OS. However, the best bets are still expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to be equipped with the Android 7.0 Nougat.
As of now, the Nougat's rollout date is still unconfirmed, but users can expect that it's closely tied to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
