'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers, plot news: 'Breaking Bad' favorite making epic comeback
Fans of the legendary crime drama "Breaking Bad" are in for a big treat in "Better Call Saul" season 3. It has been confirmed that Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), the no-nonsense drug kingpin introduced in the original series, will be present in the new season.

In some way, the second season was leading up to his entrance. The first letters of the titles of the 10 episodes spell out the phrase "Fring's Back," which fans figured out themselves on Reddit, discovering what was supposed to be a secret.
Gus Fring's arrival in "Better Call Saul" season 3 was supposed to be a surprise intended to be revealed this summer. Showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould admit that they "underestimated the genius and hard work of our fans" after the viewers figured out the clues.
However, the duo warned that Fring won't be seen in the flesh immediately in "Better Call Saul" season 3. For someone who is precautious like the restaurateur, it would take a long while to even see the shadows of the influential man.
With that said, fans can expect him in the shadows first like how he was in the "Better Call Saul" season 2 finale, where he left a note on the windshield of Mike's (Jonathan Banks) car.
"Just because Fring's back—technically speaking, if not literally—it doesn't mean that folks should assume that they'll see him at the beginning of Season 3," Gilligan told Vanity Fair.
"This is a character who is very circumspect. Very cautious. He does not reveal himself easily... He's going to stay Gus Fring, arguably the most brilliant person ever to appear on either show," the "Better Call Saul" showrunner added.
With regards to the titular character of "Better Call Saul," season 3 will see Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) further embrace his cunning self as he further steps into the world of crooks and cons.
"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to premiere early next year on AMC.
