'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC 3 release date 2016: DLC 4 already teased as third expansion lands this month

The highly-anticipated "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" downloadable content (DLC) 3 is expected to arrive this June, although an exact release date is yet to be identified.

Gotta Be Mobile reports that the next DLC for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) next week although it won't be available until the third week of June for PS4 players in observance of the 30-day exclusivity deal with Sony.

Developer Treyarch and game publisher Activision are expected to showcase at least a teaser for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 3 after showing off the upcoming installment in the franchise, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," during their presentation.

Like the first two "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" expansion packs, the DLC 3 is expected to come with four mapsâ€” one will be a reimagined version of an older map from one of the franchise's previous installments.

There will also be a continuation of the Zombie mode in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 3, although it remains a big mystery for now where it will take players and what horrors it will bring next.

Although Treyarch only waited a couple of months to release new "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" expansions (DLC 3's purported release comes two months after the Eclipse DLC), there will be longer wait for the fourth DLC.

Activision just announced the Call of Duty XP event, which is considered the biggest celebration being held for the video game series. A reveal of another "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC, presumably the fourth one, will take place there.

In addition, the "Call of Duty Black Ops 3" World League Championship finals is set to take place there along with hands-on experience on "Infinite Warfare," the remastered "Modern Warfare" and the new "Black Ops 3" DLC 4.

The Call of Duty XP event takes place on Sept. 2 to 4 at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
