'Civilization VI' release date news 2016: Launches trailer video for France faction

Sid Meier's "Civilization VI" has released a new trailer for the France, and it will be lead by the Queen of Espionage, Catherine de Medici.
Digital Trends reports that de Medici will be taking the wheel for the country that is a "Civilization" mainstay. Former games gave players the opportunity to have Napoleon Bonaparte, Louis XIV, and Charles de Gaulle within their ranks. Now France shines with de Medici's incredible knack for espionage.
Catherine de Medici, as what her last name suggests, is actually of Italian descent, and she was known for keeping power to the French monarchy during times of great religious and social turmoil. Historians would refer to de Medici as one of the most powerful women in 16th century Europe.
In the game, de Medici's bonus is mostly on espionage. Her ladies-in-waiting work as a spy network which provides players with information on the other countries that France bumps into. She also gets a new spy whenever a castle is researched.
France's infantry has the Garde Imperiale. They gain a combat bonus whenever they fight in France's home continent, and they also get Great General points from every kill. France was known for having other countries try to invade it for the beautiful landmarks, and the Garde Imperiale are there to make sure that France belongs to the French.
France is also a good place for players who like to bump up on their culture. France has the ability called the Grand Tour. It gives a boost when constructing wonders and tourism bonuses when those wonders get finished. The Chateau is a tile improvement that must be built next to a river, and it provides culture; it also gives bonuses for being near wonders.
Players who like their culture updated better pick France when Sid Meier's "Civilization VI" hits shelves Oct. 21 for the PC.
