'Dance Moms' season 7 release date: Show's future in jeopardy after Abby Miller court case

The future of "Dance Moms" season 7 and the whole show's lifespan is now in jeopardy following the recent development on dance instructor Abby Lee Miller's legal issues.
According to Deadline, Miller is on the brink of doing some jail time after pleading guilty to some of the 20 counts of fraud she was indicted last year along with a new charge on the violation of currency reporting laws.
The "Dance Moms" star is facing 24 to 36 months in jail although her lawyers are fighting to reduce that to six months. The sentencing will take place on Oct. 11.
This will make it a bit challenging for her to take on her role in "Dance Moms," as she was one of the mainstays there.
If her lawyers will be successful in scaling down the sentence, Miller might still be in "Dance Moms" season 7. Cinema Blend adds that while a hiatus could take place, it won't affect the show as much as a longer sentence would.
A lot of casting rumors have plagued "Dance Moms" season 7 in the past months. After Maddie Ziegler and her younger sister Mackenzie left the show, more stars were reportedly following suit.
It was rumored that Nia Frazier and JoJo Siwa are not appearing in "Dance Moms" season 7. The former will reportedly be too busy for a Broadway musical.
The latter's consecutive absences from competitions were taken to mean she was not going to appear in "Dance Moms" season 7, although this will no longer be the case.
With regards to Miller, in the event she will be sentenced to two years of jail time, it is still unclear if "Dance Moms" will be delayed, move to a new dance studio or be canceled altogether.
