'Days of Our Lives' spoilers, plot news: Joey gets shot; Hope chooses to reconnect with Aiden

Another week has arrived and that means another week of drama, thrill and action will unfold in daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives." It can be recalled from last week that Kayla, Steve and Joey were on their way back to Salem. However, they were stopped in their path when Dirk ended up putting Simon, Jade and Joey on hostage.

Joey tried to intervene, but as Inquisitr suggested, he will end up getting shot. He will go through a surgery to repair the damage and Kayla and Steve will be at their son's side all throughout the process. Jade will also be with them waiting to hear some good news. And though spoilers suggest that Joey's life will be hanging by a thread, he will survive the incident and will start a long journey to recovery.

Celeb Dirty Laundry detailed that the incident will cause Jade to rethink her choices with boys. She has always been going after bad boys but after what happened to Joey, she might consider changing her ways. It's also expected that Jade and Joey's relationship will be affected by the hostage situation.

Meanwhile, Hope has made her decision. She will try to reconnect with Aiden despite having feelings for Rafe. She wants to give her husband a second chance and they will go out on a romantic dinner together. However, Hope will be thinking of Rafe. In fact, when Hope sees Rafe together with Blanca, a pang of jealousy will surface. This means that Aiden and Hope's reunion will not be as simple as it seems.

Other events that will happen in the show this week include Chloe's return. International Business Times noted that Deimos managed to contact Chloe after surviving Nicole's attempted murder of him. He will be staying at Chloe's place and will try to recover there before plotting a plan of revenge against Nicole, who has no idea that he is still alive. Nicole has framed Kate for Deimos' supposed death and Kate will be defending herself.

"Days of Our Lives" airs every Monday to Friday on NBC.
