Earlier this June, during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, fans got a glimpse of the up and coming "Dead Rising 4" game that is set to release sometime in December. The release date seems to have a relation to the game, as this time around, "Dead Rising 4" will be having a Christmas time setting, so that means players can mix and match weapons with everyday Christmas decorations. Fans will get to see freelance photographer Frank West assault a horde of zombies with a crossbow that fires candy canes.

In an interview recently published by Shack News, members of the Capcom Vancouver development team Joe Nickolls and Bryce Cochrane share what fans could expect from the new "Dead Rising" game. They say that the story is set 16 years after the first game, and players get to use Frank once again to dish out some zombie punishment. The setting will have Frank returning to a Christmas-themed Willamette, Colorado, and the developers wanted to "go crazier" with the game, offering more zombies, more combos, more weapons, and a bigger world than ever before.

The game will also have a new feature for Frank to use. This time, he has control over an exo-suit that allows him to do crazier kills than players can hope to perform in the previous games. The suit allows him to smash cars, pull out parking meters, and tear off signs, all in the name of getting rid of the undead.

A new inventory system is also present; melee and range weapons are separated into categories, and the system of crafting weapons has changed. In the previous games, players had to craft weapons at a table, but this time weapons can be crafted on the fly. The developers said this move was done to allow less restriction to players.

"Dead Rising 4" is set to release this winter in time for the Holidays, so expect some zombie-bashing fun this Christmas.
